Tantawi and the entire Supreme Council of Armed Forces has to be judged internationally, Egypt is going towards a planned civil war that could cost millions of innocent lives. Dr. Ashraf Ramelah, Founder and President Voice of the Copts

Copts killed by Egyptian regime

Once again Egyptians are facing evil. The Army supposed to protect the country and its people is planning to spark a civil war in order to grant its permanent power. The disorder which occurred in the soccer stadium in Port Saied in Egypt leaving almost 75 dead and hundreds wounded is part of an orchestrated plan aimed to consent marshal law and keep the military in a position to rule the country. Since the moment of the Egyptian uprising and Mubarak’s removal, the military, without any right, stepped to the plate. The military council headed by Mr. Tantawi had a goal to protect the previous regime; the same dictatorial regime which started with a military coup in 1952. Here at Voice of the Copts we never believed any of the promises made by the military concerning protecting people against regimes or their intention to follow the people’s aspirations for change. Various events occurred since Tantawi took power indicating that protecting the old regime is his only goal. Camel attacks against protesters, burning the scientific institute of Cairo, the continued attacks against Copts, their churches, businesses and residences, and the massacre of Copts in Tahrir Square. The military blessed the electoral fraud allowing Salfi and the Muslim brotherhood to win a fake election that grants them no political control over creating a state within the state. Finally the brutal attack planned against fans of a soccer club as a payback for their shouting against the military. Voice of the Copts strongly condemns the latest attack and the false information issued by the regime of Tantawi. Furthermore we appeal to International Criminal Court for an honest action against those who are killing young people, strangling the freedom of population. Tantawi and the entire Supreme Council of Armed Forces has to be judged internationally, Egypt is going towards a planned civil war that could cost millions of innocent lives.
