Department of Justice is bending over backward to please some hyper-militant self-styled Islamic leaders – in the crucial area of the training of federal law enforcement agents. Yes, you read that right. The President of the Muslim Public Affairs Council threatened the FBI that American Muslims would stop cooperating with law enforcement unless the FBI’s training manual was revised. Revised how? In such a way as to eliminate any reference to Muslims as possible issues for law enforcement to deal with! And who blinked? The United States. Deputy Attorney General James Cole announced that he is recalling all law enforcement training materials used by the FBI and the national security community—so the materials can be censored of any reference to Islam. This is as if, in 1938, the London Times issued a mandate that no criticism of Nazis could be printed in its newspaper (which was then the major one in the country)! Oh, pardon me – isn’t just about what did happen? Am I the only person who remembers history?

Back in 1938, when Neville Chamberlain was telling England he had guaranteed “peace for our time” nobody believed that Hitler’s regime would ever do anything to harm Britannia who then ruled the waves. “Never mind that Hitler is overrunning parts of Czechoslovakia… it won’t happen here,” was the attitude. Until all of a sudden it was too late to sleep any more, and the world was engulfed in war, and everybody was asking: “Why didn’t we see this coming?” I do not want to be the one who says: Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. But the Obama Administration is repeating this tragic history. It is burying its head in the sand, pretending that Islam is a peace-loving religion, making sure that nobody’s feelings get hurt, even at the expense of the proper education of effective law enforcement agents. I do not want to be a prophet. Five years from now I do not want to be saying “I told you so.” That is why I want more and more people today to read the news and commentary that I find and translate and post on this website.
