Police in Boston have begun an investigation after finding five men bound together in a Jewish fraternity house at Boston University on Monday, reported the Jerusalem Post. The men were discovered, bound together by duct tape, in their underwear covered by flour, honey, hot sauce in the basement of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house the online edition of the paper reported. “All five were shivering and had horrified and fearful looks on their faces,” the police report said. Police hopes to press criminal charges against 14 individuals for the hazing incident, a term used to describe rituals a person has to endure before being let into a group. It is allegedly a common practice amongst some fraternities in U.S. colleges where hazing incidents have been known to turn ugly. The international Jewish fraternity at the Boston campus was known for “hosting wild parties” the paper reported. However, the main branch of the fraternity condemned the incident saying it does not condone hazing of any kind. It also said it closed the Boston University chapter.
