On July 29 th, Voice of the Copts published information written by Rasha al-Khayat and Amira Fouda on Al Arabiya, an Arabic news site. The following is a response received from Dr Terry Jones, author of Islam is of the Devil, https://voiceofthecopts.org/en/news/florida_church_plans_burn_a_quran_day_on_9_11.html.

On September 11th, 2010, from 6pm – 9pm, we will burn the Koran on the property of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, FL in remembrance of the fallen victims of 9/11 and to stand against the evil of Islam. Islam is of the devil!

Our Mission is to bring to awareness to the dangers of Islam and that the Koran is leading people to hell. Eternal fire is the only destination the Koran can lead people to so we want to put the Koran in it’s place – the fire!

This information is posted on our websites doveworld.org and islamisofthedevil.com and a Facebook page called International Burn a Koran Day http://www.facebook.com/pages/International-Burn-A-Koran-Day/134718123226530?v

Dr. Rashwan states that "there is no link between the Sept. 11 attacks and the Quran," which is not true. Those terrorists believed they were acting in a way that glorified the God of the Koran, as so many jihadists have done before and since.

Hitler and his regime were certainly not acting from the teachings of the Bible. In fact, they murdered Christians along with Jews. This is a typical argument from a Moslem who has been taught from his childhood to hate Christians and Jews. Yet his own Islamic beliefs are a totalitarian social and political ideology much the same as Nazism.

As to the accusation of lacking sense, all of us at the church know full well that we are targets. We have not taken our actions lightly. We are willing to die, if need be. Others have done so before us, for their Christian faith and for our great country, America, the last hope for freedom.

Of course violence and retaliation is being threatened. That was to be expected and is normal in Islam. Threats, intimidation and terror are regularly employed tools of Islam. So do we keep hiding, appease this totalitarian ideology that has goals for world domination and allow it to continue to grow unopposed? Or do we try to get the world’s attention and warn? We shout the truth: Islam is of the Devil.

Many people are anxious to have peace, as if we already have a peace we can keep. This is a deception. We do not have peace in the world because of the Koran. We are all constantly the targets of the devout believers of the Koran. Our troops are in the field trying to fight with honesty and integrity against an enemy with no integrity and the violent and oppressive Koran in their minds and hearts. Christians all over the world are persecuted on a regular basis in Islamic States. They are not free to pass out Bibles, talk about their faith or worship openly. Many who have had this freedom are loosing it day by day in areas where Islam is rising.

Moslems themselves are oppressed by their own laws. They live lives of fear and hate. The attitude towards women in Islam as inferior possessions of men has led to countless cases of mistreatment and abuse for which Moslem men receive little or no punishment, in many cases are encouraged to commit such acts, and are even praised for them. This is a direct fruit of the teachings of the Koran. Moslems may not leave their religion without being placed under a death threat.

But leaders all over the world apologize for Islam and do not see the root of the problem. In America it is not a crime to light a small fire. We are not burning anyone’s property or any person, nor do we call for this. This is a peaceful protest to warn and raise awareness of the teachings of the Koran, a book that millions of people cannot read or have not read. Yet they are deceived in believing that Islam is a religion of peace.

We are not against Moslems. It is their teachings that are an evil stronghold. We are tearing that stronghold down.
