An explosion across from Jerusalem's Central Bus Station Wednesday afternoon in Jerusalem wounded 31 people. One person is in critical condition.Initial reports indicated that this was not a suicide blast. A bomber's body was not found.
Arutz Sheva‘s Hezki Ezra reported that the bus appeared relatively whole and that the charge may have been placed under one of the seats. It is also possible that the charge was planted somewhere along the street and set off when the bus passed by.
Jerusalem’s Mayor Nir Barkat was on the scene minutes after the blast. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was in his Jerusalem residence, preparing to fly to Moscow, when the bombing occurred.
At about 3:45 P.M., the ZAKA rescue service reported gunfire near the Sakharov Gardens, not far from the scene of the blast. This report was retracted a few minutes later.
