Our correspondent in Cairo gave us the following information. At about 8:30 PM (Cairo time) a car bomb exploded next to the St. Mary Church in Zeitoun Cairo.
The explosion occurred minutes prior to a wedding celebration.
The Egyptian law enforcement arrived to the scene and isolated the area.
Various people were held in the Church to be interrogated and it appears that some arrests were made.
The Church of Sat. Mary is an historic church in fact, it is believed to be one of the places that the holy family stayed for sometime.
On April 2, 1968, the Virgin Mary was seen by hundreds of thousands from different faith. The holy mother’s apparitions were seen there for several months.
