Christian Persecution is on the Rise: You Can Help Me Help Them In Egypt

Dear Supporters of Voice of the Copts:

In late 2010, for the first time in Egypt’s history, Copts rose up into Egypt’s streets ignoring the dictates of tradition to defend their churches, clergy, and families. Now, almost three years later, Copts are at far greater risk — an increased target of Islamic religious supremacy and Sharia tactics as never before WITNESSED in modern history AGAINST CHRISTIANS.

Conditions are worse now for Egyptian Copts in the aftermath of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood reign and Mohammed Morsi’s presidency.  Revenge against Copts is a daily occurrence.  Violent mobs chase after Copts emptying neighborhoods of Christians, killing and scattering families. We must stop this genocide.

As the assault of Christians intensifies, Voice of the Copts takes action!  We have relentlessly opposed Egypt’s dictators and regimes even suing the Mubarak regime on behalf of Christian converts. Egypt’s Coptic Christians deserve global support as the cry of Copts goes out across the world calling for justice in their ancient land. Voice of the Copts is that voice.

Voice of the Copts continually exposes and opposes the hypocrisy of Egypt’s regimes stating the facts published around the world in news articles, interviews and timely press releases making certain that the plight of Egypt’s Copts is always a major priority. Policy makers and legislators rely on our information.  We have a real impact in this battle of combating the despair of Egypt’s oppressed – the largest Christian population of any Middle Eastern country.

The Coptic cry is heard in many languages and nations of the world thanks to the work of Ashraf Ramelah and Voice of the Copts. Voice of the Copts is the single most trustworthy source conveying accuracy in facts and interpretation of events regarding Coptic persecution in Egypt.

We are grateful for your ceaseless prayers, solidarity and ongoing financial support. Because of it, we have accomplished much toward our goal of raising awareness of the plight of Egyptian Christian Copts  – keeping the public informed of human rights violations.

We understood that months of political upheaval would bring further degradation, destruction and bloodshed to Egypt’s Christians who are openly attacked in retaliation for imagined crimes. Lawlessness facilitates mob attacks on Coptic homes, churches and businesses. After Morsi’s overthrow for which Copts are singled out and blamed, Copts and other minorities bear the brunt of the country’s unrest.

Today more than ever, we must amplify our voices; join our voices together and strengthen our universal plea for justice and human rights for Coptic citizens of Egypt.  Now more than ever we must highlight a people not allowed to live in peace and worship without hindrance their God in their own homeland.

At this time of year, as we gather with family and friends bringing in a new year, a renewal of hope and spirit, I would like to wish you a joyous holiday season – for Christians around the world, especially for Coptics in Egypt, I ask you to join me in prayer, and in activism, to help protect the lives of 20 million Christians in Egypt.

We must work quickly, and together, to shed light on this very serious human rights and religious freedom issue.

In 2014, Voice of the Copts will strategically work to continue to raise the awareness of the persecution of Christians and to ensure that they are protected by the international court of human rights.

Please consider a tax-deductible, end of the year, donation to Voice of the Copts.  You can have an impact on the saving of Christian lives by making your meaningful gift MONTHLY with a secure automatic contribution – all monies go to saving the lives through awareness …
G-d bless and thank you for your interest in Voice of the Copts.
